A purple heart emoji is frequently used with other heart-colored ones. Often used on Twitter to allude to the Korean boy band BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan.
Previously displayed in Android 4.4 as a pink heart.
In 2010, Purple Heart was approved for inclusion in Unicode 6.0, and in 2015, it was added to Emoji 1.0.
