Among the Three Wise Monkeys is the speak no evil monkey, also known as Iwazaru (Japanese for "say not"). shown as a brown monkey face with its mouth covered by hands. The saying "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" is symbolized by the Three Wise Monkeys and is often taken to mean exercising caution or choosing deliberate ignorance. frequently employed as a lighthearted method to say things like "I can't believe what I just said!", "Oops!" (playfully), or "I won't say a word about my secret." Can be applied in a manner akin to Zipper Mouth or Face With Hand Over Mouth.

In some situations, this emoji is deemed racist, especially when it is used to denigrate, degrade, and mistreat individuals with dark complexion, especially Black people.
