E0.6 fearful face, Emoji

A face that appeared to be having a cold flash—small, open eyes, lifted eyebrows, an open frown, and a light blue forehead.

It's meant to portray a less extreme form of fear than Face Screaming in Fear, but it also expresses a wide range of feelings, such as being astonished, amazed, sad, upset, and cold. shares on most platforms the same expression as the Anguished Face.

Though it looks different from �� Face with Open Eyes and Hand Over Mouth and Face with Hand Over Mouth, Huawei's design depicts this emoji having a hand over its mouth in contrast to other providers. The tongue and upper teeth were previously depicted in Samsung's design.

In 2010 Fearful Face was approved for inclusion in Unicode 6.0, and in 2015 it was added to Emoji 1.0.
